Did you see us on BBC Breakfast?

We had a very special visit from Nina Warhurst along with the crew and producer from BBC Breakfast on 13 August.

The visit to our Fleet Street premises coincided with the House of Commons Library announcing the unemployment figures for the United Kingdom from April to June 2024:

• Unemployment rate: 4.2%

• Number of unemployed people: 1.44 million people aged 16 and older

• Employment rate for people aged 16–64: 74.5%

• Number of vacancies: 884,000, which is still higher than pre-pandemic levels

London had the highest unemployment rate among UK regions in the second quarter of 2024 at 5.3%.

At Suited & Booted, we strive to help as many men back into employment in London as we can and we believe in the power of a great outfit to transform lives. As a friendly and dedicated charity based in the Holborn area of London, we’re here to support vulnerable, unemployed, and low-income men on their journey to (or back into) employment.

We had such a super morning with the BBC Breakfast team and feel uplifted by the chance to show our work to the world!

A huge thank you to all our clients and volunteers who appeared on the programme. You were all absolutely fantastic, talking about and demonstrating the work that we do, and we are so very proud of you all.
