At Suited & Booted, we believe everyone deserves to feel confident, respected and fully themselves when preparing for an interview.
Recently, we had the privilege of supporting two incredible young women, Blythe and Anoushka, by styling them in menswear for upcoming interviews, exactly as they requested.
Referred to us through their support network via the House Project, both young people have faced significant challenges growing up in care. Our team worked closely with them to create looks that reflected who they are, helping them feel comfortable, confident and authentic.
Their referrer shared how important it was that they were “fully seen and respected in their choices” and supported without judgement. They described the experience as going far beyond clothing… “Opportunities like the one you offer go far beyond clothing; they build confidence, dignity, and a sense of belonging. Yesterday was a powerful reminder of that.”
We were especially delighted to hear that Anoushka received an interview invitation the very next morning, giving her the perfect opportunity to step into the room feeling “a million dollars”.
Moments like these are a powerful reminder that inclusion matters, representation matters, and confidence can be life-changing.
